Our Mission

MLK  Scholarships Milwaukee was founded in 1976 to encourage college education among urban students in Milwaukee.  The effort is intended to capture the spirit and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and to ensure that his dream lives on in all of us.  We have awarded scholarships that students can use for tuition and related expenses for each of the past 46 years.

The goal of the scholarships is to help students achieve the dream of a higher education.  We focus on students who show financial need and academic promise, have overcome obstacles, and who contribute to their community.
